Dr. Yi-Ling Shiao was born in Taiwan and grew up in Los Angeles, California. She completed her undergraduate degree in biochemistry major at the University of California at Los Angeles and subsequently received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Shiao passed North East Regional Board Examination. After completing her DDS degree, Dr. Shiao completed General Practice Residency (GPR) program at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Shiao is certified as Invisalign and ClearCorrect provider to perform clear aligner therapy. Dr. Shiao has completed two years training in an implant program at NYU College of Dentistry. In addition Dr. Shiao has also two years continuing education in orthodontics training sponsored by IAO/AOS.
Dr. Shiao started Expert Dental in New York City and practice general dentistry in all aspects of dental care, including periodic dental check up, dental cleaning, white cosmetic filling, teeth whitening, root canal treatment, dental crowns, dental bridges, surgical and prosthetic implants, braces, veneers, onlays, inlays, denture, Invisalign, ClearCorrect etc. Dr. Shiao speaks English and Mandarin Chinese.
Dr. Kwak, a graduate of Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, has 10 years of experience in general dentistry. She earned her undergraduate degree in Environmental Science and Engineering at Ewha Women’s University in South Korea and studied Public Health at the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill. She found her interested in oral health and dentistry and went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Columbia University. She also completed a two-year full time program in Implant Dentistry at NYU.
Dr. Kwak helps her patients achieve beautiful smiles by maintaining existing teeth, replacing missing teeth and preserving and restoring all support structures such as bones and gums to give you that perfect smile. She brings her superior aesthetic skills to everything she does from aesthetic (non-metallic)fillings, porcelain inlays and onlays, veneers, crowns, full mouth rehabilitation, bone grafting and implant restoration. Dr. Kwak speaks English and Korean.
Dr. Charms grew up on Long Island, then went to Tufts University in Boston to receive his first degrees in psychology and fine art. After relocating to NYC, Dr. Charms earned a masters degree in communications and went on to work as a digital arts professor, a freelance art director, and ultimately an advertising creative director. Unsatisfied by the tone and utility of his work in advertising, Dr. Charms was fortunate enough to facilitate a change of careers. He attended NYU College of Dentistry and was selected to deliver the commencement address for his graduating class.
Dr. Charms was the most productive resident in NYU’s AEGD program sponsored by Lutheran Medical Center, where he specialized in treatment planning for complex cases. Today, Dr. Charms is focused on delivering the best possible care to nervous patients who require especially compassionate attention and treatment. Dr. Charms speaks English, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese.
Dr. Gao was born in Shanghai and grew up in Queens. She studied business and commerce at Macaulay Honors College, and then earned an undergraduate degree in Biology at Stony Brook University. Dr. Gao received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from NYU College of Dentistry. While in dental school, she received the Racquel Z. LeGeros Biomaterial Research Award for her work on the protective effects of calcium containing toothpastes against acid found in soft drinks. Dr. Gao was trained at New York Presbyterian Queens Hospital for her general dentistry residency. Dr. Gao is very patient and gentle with her patients. When she’s not working, Dr. Gao loves to explore other countries and cultures. She enjoys taking architecture and landscape photographs when she travels. Dr. Gao speaks English and Mandarin Chinese.
Dr. Sue Min Lee, originally from Korea, has called New York her home for ten years. Dr. Lee decided to be a dentist at an early age. She graduated from an accelerated 7 year dental program with honors in Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery at New York University College of Dentistry as one of the youngest graduates. Dr. Lee went on to further training and completed her residency at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Lee is dedicated to creating a comforting environment to every patient that walks into the office. Her integral knowledge in dentistry and gentle hands allow her to provide dental treatment tailored to each patient’s needs. Beyond the dental chair, Dr. Lee enjoys playing catch with her French bull dog, snowboarding, traveling, and bettering others’ health and wellness as a certified health coach. Dr. Lee speaks English and Korean.
Dr. Jonathan Wu was born in Fairfax, Virginia and lived in Tokyo, Japan for 10 years prior to returning to the States. Dr. Wu graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.S. in Biology and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at Howard University in Washington DC. Upon graduation, he was inducted to Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society that recognizes those with exceptional grades. He then moved to New York City, where he completed further training at Bellevue Hospital's General Practice Residency Program.
Dr. Wu is fluent in Mandarin and Japanese and is acknowledged as a compassionate and reliable dentist among his colleagues. He offers a wide range of dental services in general dentistry, implant placement, cosmetic work, and Invisalign. He always ensures his patients' concerns are addressed, and offers solutions catered to each individual. He strives to create a comfortable setting for his patients and relieves anxiety to those who may have dental phobia. During his spare time, he enjoys cooking, weightlifting, trying new restaurants, and watching movies and TV shows.
Dr. Christine Lee was born in Long Island, NY and grew up in South Korea and suburban New Jersey. Dr. Lee graduated from Rutgers University and went on to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Lee completed her general practice residency at Bellevue Hospital Center in New York City.
Dr. Lee made the decision to stay in New York after completing her residency so she can continue to serve the dental care needs of the community. Dr. Lee is passionate about providing care and improving her patients’ health. She takes pride in easing her patients’ anxiety by ensuring their utmost comfort throughout dental procedures. During her free time, Dr. Lee enjoys exploring the city, cooking, traveling and spending time with her friends and family. Dr. Lee speaks English and Korean.
Dr. Park earned her undergraduate degrees in biology and chemistry from Syracuse University and New York University. After obtaining a Doctor in Dental Surgery degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine in 2012, Dr. Park received specialized training and certification in prosthodontics by the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, followed by Fellowship program at Columbia University. Dr. Park provides comprehensive dental care to pediatric, adult as well as geriatric patients. She has specialized training in full-mouth rehabilitation and prosthetic dentistry. Dr. Victoria Park is committed to delivering the best quality care for her patients. Dr. Park speaks English and Korean.
Dr. Lior Furman is a certified Prosthodontist. Dr. Furman graduated from Hunter College with a degree in Biology, and from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. Dr. Furman completed his dental residency program in Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn, as well as Implant Program at New York University. Dr. Furman subsequently completed his prosthodontics training at and received his Prosthodontics certificate from New York University. Dr. Furman is highly trained and experienced with 3Shape digital scanner platform and full mouth rehabilitation cases, including full mouth on implants and natural dentition. Dr. Furman’s clinical interests include severely worn-down dentition rehabilitations, challenging dental cases where several disciplines are needed to achieve the final result, as well as using digital systems to plan, design, and execute cases.
Dr. Clark is a board certified Oral Surgeon. He received his dentistry degree in 2008 and his medical degree in 2011 from Columbia University. Dr. Clark approaches each and every patient with the goal of providing the highest level of care through both skilled technique and a calm demeanor. Dr. Clark believes in patient communication and education and strives to provide a comfortable anxiety free experience for all his patients. Dr. Clark continually educates himself on the latest techniques and technology in dentistry with the goal of providing the best in quality treatment. Dr. Dorothy Rose Lorenzo is a board certified oral maxillofacial surgeon and native New Yorker, born and raised in Staten Island, NY. She completed her undergraduate studies with honors at Iona College in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. Dr. Lorenzo then obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2006. Upon graduation, she continued her dental education and completed a general practice residency at the Manhattan VA Hospital.
Dr. Lorenzo discovered a passion for surgery and was accepted into the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery training program at St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center in Jamaica, Queens. She received rigorous and extensive training in maxillofacial trauma and reconstructive surgery and provided excellent care throughout the boroughs of Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx at Mary Immaculate Hospital, St. John’s Hospital, Jacobi Medical Center, North Central Bronx Hospital and Jamaica Hospital until her completion of residency as Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Chief Resident at Brookdale University Hospital & Medical Center in 2011.
Dr. Lorenzo has remained on staff at Brookdale Hospital since her residency completion and has been instrumental in training future oral & maxillofacial surgeons at this institution. She also carries membership to local and national professional affiliations, including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, NY State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Lorenzo is highly trained in maxillofacial trauma, corrective jaw surgery, dentoalveolar surgery including third molar removal, and dental implant surgery & reconstruction.
As both a New York City trained surgeon and a native New Yorker herself, Dr. Lorenzo is uniquely equipped to serve the many individuals and diversities of NYC with professionalism, compassion and excellence.
Dr. Rothenberg is a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. Originally from Maryland, Dr. Rothenberg received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, graduating in the top ten percent of his class. He subsequently completed 6 year residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital and earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in 2008. Dr. Rothenberg has received extensive training in anesthesia, dental implantology, bone grafting, dentoalveolar surgery, jaw reconstruction, facial trauma and head and neck pathology. Dr. Rothenberg performs full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with a special interest in dental implants. He is an active member of many professional organizations including the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Institute of Implant Dentistry, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and American Medical Association.
Dr. Anna Glinianska is a board certified endodontist. Dr. Anna was born in Poland and grew up on Long Island, NY where she graduated from SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. She completed her General Practice Residency at the University of Colorado Hospital and worked as a general dentist in private practice for 3 years before receiving specialty training in Endodontics at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Anna is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and a member the American Dental Association. In her spare time, Dr. Anna enjoys the outdoors, sailing and travel. Dr. Anna speaks English, Polish and Spanish.
Dr. Yumna Piracha is an Endodontist. Dr. Piracha earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. She completed her advanced training in Endodontics at Columbia University’s Post-Doctorate Endodontics Program. There, she was trained by reputable clinicians and researchers, and was involved in both teaching and research.
Dr. Piracha is a member of the American Association of Endodontics and has presented at meetings and conferences nationally. Dr. Piracha’s novel research in Horizontal Posts was recently published in the Journal of Endodontics. Dr. Piracha is passionate about understanding and applying new research and modern advances in her practice. Professionally, Dr. Piracha strives to deliver high quality care to patients, with compassion and care. Dr. Piracha speaks English and Spanish.
Dr. Pooja Rana is a Board-Certified Orthodontist. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from New Jersey Dental School and then went on to complete a year of advanced post-doctoral training in general dentistry at the Manhattan VA hospital. From there, Dr. Rana completed an additional three years of specialized training in Orthodontics at Montefiore Medical Center where she learned the most advanced techniques for treating both children and adults. Dr. Rana offers highly esthetic options like Invisalign clear aligners and ceramic braces as well as traditional braces. Dr. Rana believes everyone should be able to smile with confidence. With passion and warmth, coupled with the skill and dexterity required of her profession, she would be honored to work with you and to support you in your orthodontic needs. Dr. Jason Lin grew up in the Tri-State area but went to the Midwest to attend college at Washington University in St. Louis where he graduated with honors with a double major in Biochemistry and Economics. He then moved back to the New York metropolitan area to obtain his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Columbia University where he graduated at the top of his class with numerous honors and distinctions. He continued his education at Columbia University by completing an extensive three year residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics where he served as Chief Resident during his final year. In his free time, he loves spending time with family and friends, traveling the world, is an avid New York sports fan, and is a gym fanatic. He loves doing orthodontics and devotes himself to loving others and the community around him, and takes great pride in developing beautiful smiles and the changes in self-esteem he encounters on a daily basis. Dr. Lin speaks English and Mandarin Chinese.
Dr. Kerisa Harriott is a Board-certified Orthodontist born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. She attended Randolph-Macon College in Virginia and graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Chemistry on scholarship. She went on to attend Rutgers School of Dental Medicine where she obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree also on scholarship. After dental school, Dr. Harriott completed a general practice residency (GPR) at Northwell Health Hospital (formerly Long Island Jewish Medical Center) where she was awarded Resident of the year. She practiced briefly as a General Dentist before starting an orthodontic residency at Stony Brook University. Her training at Stony Brook University included a wide array of orthodontic techniques i.e. Invisalign, ceramic braces, traditional braces, TADs, propel for accelerated treatment, among other techniques. In recognition of her hardwork and talent, she was given the Turner Fellowship award. Dr. Harriott loves Orthodontics and takes a patient-centered, gentle and compassionate approach while keeping abreast with the latest advances in the field. She considers it a privilege to be able to change lives one smile at a time.
Dr. Harriott participates in several outreach initiatives both locally and overseas such as dental missions, scholarship fundraisers, health fairs, charity fashion shows, among other efforts. Dr. Harriott is an avid dancer, philanthropist and lover of life. On her off days, she enjoys spending time with her husband cooking and exploring the city.
Dr. Lee completed her undergraduate degree in biology major at the State University of New York at Binghamton and subsequently received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine. After completing her DDS degree, Dr. Lee received the certificate in Periodontology at State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Dental medicine. Dr. Lee received honors in year III clinic periodontics, health care systems I, and behavior interactions. Dr. Lee is affiliated with American Academy of periodontology, ambassador of the American Academy of periodontology, Academy of Osseointegration, International academy of periodontology, Northeastern Society of periodontology, American Dental association and Nassau County Dental society. Dr. Lee speaks English and Chinese (Cantonese).
Dr. Christine Wong is a passionate dentist with a caring and gentle personality. She strives to perform the best quality periodontal care for all patients and believes that patient education is the key to a beautiful and healthy smile. She received her B.S. in biochemistry from University of Texas at Austin where she graduated with high honors. She then moved to NYC and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from NYU College of Dentistry. She was awarded The David B. Kriser Award for Compassion when she graduated. She has completed a general practice residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center and a post-graduate residency in periodontics and implantology at NYU Lutheran Medical Center. She specialized in periodontics and implant dentistry. During her off time, Dr. Wong enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Wong speaks English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese).
Dr. Bagga is a CA-born and NY-raised certified Periodontist. He earned his masters degree at Drexel University while working at University of Pennsylvania. He graduated from NYU Dentistry where he served as President for over 1500 students. Dr. Bagga stayed an additional three years to complete his residency in Periodontics and was awarded Outstanding Clinical Performance in his program.
Dr. Bagga specializes in implant dentistry as well as conventional surgical and non-surgical modalities of periodontal therapy. He concentrates on functional and aesthetic surgical procedures, including hard and soft tissue grafting procedures and focuses on an interdisciplinary approach in conjunction with endodontic, orthodontic, and prosthodontic conditions. Dr. Bagga prioritizes his patient’s well-being and ensures they understand the importance of each step of the treatment plan.
Dr. Bagga lives in Jersey City with his wife and they both enjoy fine dining, streaming the latest comedies, and planning their next tropical adventure
Dr. Nakshabendi, or Dr. Nora, as her patients call her was born in Glasgow, Scotland and raised in Tampa, Florida. She graduated from University of South Florida with honors, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science. Upon graduating from university, she went on to obtain her DMD from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Throughout dental school, Dr. Nora went on humanitarian dental mission trips, treating underserved children; there she discovered her passion in helping kids. She continued on to do advanced training specializing in kids at the New York University Langone Hospital Children’s Dental Residency program. Nora hopes use her education to provide the best dental care, and to make every child’s dental experience as enjoyable as possible. During her spare time, she enjoys photography, traveling, being immersed in nature, and catching up on Disney movies that kids are into these days. Dr. Nora is a member of American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, and American Association of Women Dentists. Dr. Nora speaks English and Arabic.
